For those renters who would prefer not to be in a multi-family house or large apartment building but
live in a “city setting”, this 900 sqft home is the perfect option. Walking distance to local hotspots for
shopping, dining, boating and sightseeing, this quaint brightly lit cottage is a welcome retreat!
Located downtown Newport, RI this New England style cottage has the best of both worlds. A small
backyard for fabulous summer gatherings and 3rd bonus room in the finished basement for those out-of-
town guests.
Gorgeous long plank pine wood floors make up the 1st level, working very well with the vaulted
ceilings in the main living area, to make for a spacious and open feeling. The upstairs boasts a large
bedroom with plenty of open space to spread out. Only having one closet may be a deal breaker for
some, but the large wall space in the master bedroom makes up for it as it is able to accommodate
multiple pieces of furniture for extra storage.

When renting, it can often be a challenge to make the space your own. That’s obviously not the case
for these classy renters. Surrounded by white walls, there is a serene lightness that the natural
sunlight adds to the space. Decorated with an overall nautical theme, they also chose to add in a few
vintage pieces. A bit more eclectic then the rest of the accessories these few, but well placed items
really show off their personality. From the cowhide chair that rests in the entryway, to the sunshine
yellow coffee table that highlights the quirky gray and white polka dotted rug in the living room. My
absolute favorite piece was the simple, yet elegant tortoise shell sculpture that rests above the dining
room entry. Somehow it all gels!
Hint..hint…its only minutes away from the gorgeous view!
